You know that Motorola Droid phone aka “iPhone killer” that Verizon was showing off in their iDon’t commercial? Verizon has officially announced more details on it today! The Motorola Droid is coming to Verizon on November 6. The phone will cost $199 after a $100 mail in rebate.

I will need to sell my 3G if i ever wanna buy Droid!
And i will never sell my iphone, bought it with hard-earned cash!
Somebody willing to give me a loan……..=P

On a serious note, this is a really good phone! I am also wondering whats happening with nokia??? No decent phone this year, the n97 failed like hell here in dubai…..shops are offering a free 600Dhs phone with it but still no buyers! Nokia is almost out of ideas now!
I vote for Motorola & Sony-Ericsson this year.

What does every phone company have against the iPhone, teaming up to beat it, WTF every iPhone killer so far has been a complete failure.

FOR REALS! I verizon first tried with that one phone, voyager i think, but the only app i liked was the live TV, the touchscreen was completely whack! You had to press really hard on the screen. iphone is OG and no other phone can get close to iPhone.

will I be able to use my Iphone music from itunes on this new droid. If not, why switch over?

    • james says:

If you open the folders to your “itunes music”, you’ll find that they are in fact mp3s and not some “itunes files”. So yes – you can use your “itunes music” with the droid.

Look to be honest I was a verizon customer and the only phone they had that was close to an iPhone was the voyager and that wasn’t even in iPhones league but was still considered the “iPhone killer” and clearly wasn’t. The droid will be yet another failed attempt.

  10. kyle says:

I love my droid!! The only thing I see its lacking is a flashplayer. Or at least adobe flash player which I really want/need. If anyone finds a way to get that on the droid plz let me know

  11. ronf57 says:

william do you work for verizon?
don’t sell what a product doesn’t yet do.
it may never do it, can we come back to you and get our money back because you said it would do it?

  12. tdione says:

Well mister ronf57 william was just stating that it will have flash because if u own a droid and go to flash player website it states flash will be avaliable in the beginning of 2010 so. Why not stfu

I got the Droid and it does in my opinion as much as the IPhone with the exception of having flashplayer on it. I now here it will be out in November of 2010. Anyone heard any different?
