Apple Launching Something BIG on iTunes Tomorrow

Apple has updated their Apple.com homepage with the text “Tomorrow is just another day. That you’ll never forget. Check back here tomorrow for an exciting announcement from iTunes.”

At 7:00 AM PST or 10:00 AM EST Apple will be announcing something new through their iTunes software.

iOS 4.2 for iPhone, iPod, and iPod touch is expected to be released tomorrow.

I’m sure the announcement is something bigger than iOS 4.2 because Apple wouldn’t hype tomorrow’s announcement unless they were announcing something BIG. Your iPhone activation session has expired

Your iPhone activation session has expired, that is the dreaded message I kept receiving on iTunes, when I tried to activate iPhone 4G (4th generation). Searching around it looks like other iPhone 4 users also encountered the Your iPhone activation session has expired error message.

How do you fix the “Your iPhone activation session has expired” error? I restarted my Mac and it worked perfectly. I’m not sure why it kept bringing up the errors, but now my iPhone 4 is activated. If anyone else experienced this problem, try restarting. If you find another solution or know what the cause of this is, please tell us in the comments section.

iPhone 3.1.3: iTunes Update

It’s been at least 3 months since iPhone users have been using the iPhone 3.1.2 update. Today Apple has released the iPhone 3.1.3 update for iPhone and iPod Touch users. This update does not really add anything new, but it does fix important bugs so iPhone and iPod Touch users should update.

The iPhone 3.1.3 software update includes the following:

Reports battery level on iPhone 3GS with an improved accuracy
Fixes issues that caused third party iPhone apps to crash
Resolves a bug that caused an iPhone app to crash when the Japanese Kana keyboard is being used
using the Japanese Kana keyboard

How to update to iPhone 3.1.3

1. Connect your iPhone or iPod Touch to your PC.

2. Launch the iTunes application and click the Check for updates button.

3. iTunes will show you the above window saying: “iTunes will update your iPhone to iPhone 3.1.3 software and will verify the update with Apple“. Click on the Update button.

4. An iPhone OS 3.1.3 software update window will show up, click on the Next button. Read and and accept the license agreement. Once you’ve done that your download will start.

5. The file size of this update varies depending on which device you’re updating. Once the iPhone 3.1.3 firmware update is done downloading it will start the installation process on your iPhone.

Due to the holidays, we’ve got many new users here who recently got an Apple iPod touch or an iPhone. To use it you must first download and install iTunes. The instructions to download it and install it are below. iTunes is needed in order to sync your device, and also to download or sync applications or music from the App Store.

1. Download iTunes

Go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and click the Download Now button. Once it’s done downloading, install it.

2. Connect your iPod touch or iPhone to sync it

Connect your iPod touch or iPhone to your computer using the USB cable you got. It will now start syncing, and you will also be asked to create an iTunes account. Your iTunes account will allow you to download apps from the App Store.

While your device is charging or syncing, you may want to check out our jailbreak page and decide whether or not you want to jailbreak iPod touch 3.1.2 or jailbreak iPhone 3.1.2.

Almost a month ago, Apple released the iPhone 3.1 update. Today Apple has released the iPhone 3.1.2 update for iPhone and iPod Touch users. This update does not really add anything new, but it does fix important bugs so iPhone and iPod Touch users should update.

The iPhone 3.1.2 software update includes the following:

Resolves sporadic issue that may cause iPhone to not wake from sleep
Resolves intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular network services until restart
Fixes bug that could cause occasional crash during video streaming
