Search for top iPhone Apps using Bing

Bing: iPhone Apps
If you want to visually search through top iPhone apps, orĀ  recently released iPhone apps Microsoft has now added this in their Bing search engine. It’s currently in beta, but you can see it in action at Bing.com/visualsearch. It’s really fun to browse for iPhone apps using Bing!

Bing: iPhone App info
With Bing’s visual search you can narrow your search by Publishers, Category, or Price (highest/lowest). Hovering over an iPhone app shows the app’s company, price, category, ranking, and release date. Clicking on an iPhone app icon takes you to search results for the app on Bing instead of launching the app in iTunes.

I found this Bing visual search for iPhone apps really useful. I can easily search for reviews of each iPhone application and filter my searches. It would be great if Bing also added the iTunes link to the iPhone applications rather than having us search Bing to get the iTunes links. What do you think about this search? Will you be using it to search for future iPhone apps or will you just stick to using iTunes?

Starting today Bing is giving double the cashback on back to school items. Just search for any itemĀ  on Bing and the cashback items will show up in the sponsored results. This is a limited time offer and runs until the end of August, but Microsoft may end it early if they wish to.

5. The Bing Cashback items on eBay will have that $ (Cashback) symbol on it. If you’re buying an eBay item using Bing Cashback, you must use the buy-it-now option and use PayPal as well.

Stores Participating in the Bing Cashback program

A full list of stores participating in the Bing Cashback program can be found at http://www.bing.com/shopping/pages/stores.aspx?scope=cashback&FORM=CBFS07. Rather than having to search each item individually in Bing, you can just search the stores from this link and see which items are eligible for the Bing Cashback program.

Bing Cashback Double Savings

Starting today Bing is giving double the cashback. You should see the following message on Bing Cashback Double Savings days:

Why is Windows so expensive?

Why is Windows so expensive?

Why is Windows so expensive? Search that up in Microsoft’s search engine, Bing, and you’ll see this:

Why is Windows Expensive

That’s right, the first result that shows up is a “Why are Mac’s So Expensive?” Yahoo Answers page. The person who created this page posted a question asking why Mac’s are so expensive, and that he was fed up of Windows and wanted to switch to a Mac but couldn’t because Macs were expensive.

I’m not sure whether or not Microsoft purposely put this answer on the top of their results, but it sure is funny!
