Frash Will Allow You to Install Flash on iPad

Apple themselves have stated that they will never add support for Adobe Flash Player on the iPad or any of it’s other mobile devices. If you were one of the many people upset by this, then you should be happy by what you will read here. A hacker named comex has managed to run Flash on the iPad, and is working on making it available to other iPad users. The Flash installer is named “Frash” 5GBE99275V6D.

Frash is currently in beta. The developer of this program plans on releasing Frash as soon as he manages to get it to be more stable. As of right now Flash can run most Flash programs natively on the iPad. A video of Flash Player on iPad in action can be seen here.

If you are a developer, you can find out how to download and install Frash from here. The libflashplayer.so file is required in order to use the Frash software, so unless you have an Android phone you won’t be able to install it.

HTC EVO 4G – HTC EVO 4G Has No Adobe Flash Player 10.1 Support Until Android 2.2

HTC EVO 4G does not have Adobe Flash Player 10.1 support, and it won’t get it until the Android 2.2 update is released by Google. This does not mean that you can’t view Flash content, you will still be able to view Flash with the included Flash Player lite software but it will be buggy and not as good as Flash Player 10.1.

The HTC EVO 4G will be released on June 4. Unlike the iPhone, Google has taken a positive approach towards cooperating with Adobe and integrating Flash Player in their Android operating system. Right now Flash Player 10.1 is still in beta, and it is expected to be released for Android, Palm Pre, and other devices this year.

Specs of the HTC EVO 4G include a 8.0 mega-pixel camera on the back, and a 1.3 mega-pixel camera on the front for video chat (via Qik), and a 4.3-inch screen. Thanks to the 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, there is a lot of power in the HTC EVO 4G.

HTC Droid Incredible does support Adobe Flash Player

HTC Droid Incredible does support Adobe Flash Player, but unfortunately it uses Flash Lite 4.0 rather than the newer Flash Player 10.1! The Flash Player lite is buggy, and only displays some Flash, not all. HTC has not announced whether or not HTC or Adobe plan on releasing a Flash Player 10.1 plugin for the HTC Droid Incredible.

If you were expecting Flash Player to work fine with the HTC Droid Incredible, you will be disappointed. You can find other Android phones that support Flash Player 10.1, but the Droid Incredible is not the one that displays Flash content properly. I hope to see HTC releasing Flash Player 10.1 instead of Flash Player Lite in their future Android phone releases.

Android fans, are you still going to get the HTC Droid Incredible knowing that it has Flash Player Lite, or will you choose another Android phone that supports Adobe Flash Player 10.1 software?

New iPhone, or iPhone 4G on iPhone 4.0 won’t support flash

The new iPhone that is launching in June with the iPhone OS 4.0 software won’t support Adobe Flash Player. The photo above is an iPhone 4G prototype that a tech site, Gizmodo bought from someone who stole it from an Apple employee. Apple, Inc. can include Flash Player support in the new iPhone 4G, but they have chosen not to. Why has Apple chosen not to support Flash? We don’t know the exact reason, but reports are saying that it may be because Apple believes Flash Player is buggy.

Apple supports HTML 5, and they expect websites using Flash Player to switch to the new HTML 5 format. YouTube will definitely work because it supports HTML 5, but other sites like Hulu may not work unless they start converting their videos to HTML 5 format. Apple’s competitors, including Palm, and Google will have Flash Player support for their smartphones later this year. If you want Flash Player, I suggest you start looking for another phone. Apple won’t be adding Flash Player support any time soon.

Having problems using YouTube right now? Well, that means it’s time for you to update your Adobe Flash player software. You need to get the latest Adobe Flash player update. The new Flash player 10 software is available for download at get.adobe.com/flashplayer.

The latest software version is 10,0,45,2 installed. It still does not work on the iPad or iPhone, but it fixes securities and bugs in the older Flash player version.

Droid does support Adobe Flash

One important feature that Verizon forgot to include in their Droid Does commercial is that the Droid phone does support Flash while the iPhone doesn’t! Earlier this year, Adobe announced that they will be releasing a mobile version of their Flash Player for Android, Windows Mobile, and the Palm webOS. The iPhone OS was not included in this list.

The Droid will be running Android 2.0 operating system. Flashplayer is expected to be released for the Android OS and other mobile operating systems some time in early 2010. With multi-tasking, Flash, and the most popular carrier, the Droid does stand a pretty good chance at competing with the iPhone. Will it be an iPhone killer? We’ll find out soon enough! The launch date is expected to be some time in early November.
