Have you tried it in person? WebOS is very fluid IMO, it hasn't matured yet, and i'm sure in time it'll develop into a very competitive OS, much like Android for the G1. Actually even WinMo 7 looks promising.

EDIT: After downloading the Mojo SDK I revise my last statement about the OS. It must have just been my friends phone because the emulator runs very well and I now love the feel of it. As acenima said I would love to see this OS grow and become popular.
