I just ran the instructions for blackra1n on my 3.1.2 stock iPhone 3G--all went well, installed the sn0w package, it restarted my iPhone, checked tethering and its available now.
I plugged the iPhone up to my laptop (wifi switch off) and Windows XP recognizes the device but doesn't add a new network connection and no other additional software is installed.
Has anyone actually tried tethering? If so is it supported for Windows? What else do I need to do for Windows to use my iPhone as a network connection? Thanks in advance!
