my sisters 2g is stuck in recvoery mode, it keeps giving me error 14 when i try to restore
Here's how this happened:
Her phone was jailbroken 2.2.1.
I put the phone in DFU mode and restored to 3.0
it went through a little ways and then said could not restore error 14
then i tried it on different usb ports,same
restrarted the computer, same
tried an xp computer, same
restarted that one, same
different usb ports on the new one, same
tried my hackintosh, same
tried yet the same things i did above, same
tried xcode, errors out, think the program is messed up but i cant do anything about it
ive tried 2.0.2, 2.2.1, 3.0 itunes 7 and 8
im in a shithole and idk what to do, i cant send it to apple because they will see the lil russian steve jobs thing and laugh any suggestions

Have you tried with new copy of 3.0 to restore? Some of the posts I read for Error 14 indicated this issue seems to be a bad file. If you try the process using the same file - you get the same results.

Try a different (newly downloaded) restore file and see if that helps at all.
