I'm very new to jailbreaking and so far I've been unsuccessful. I have been bricked twice now and I'm only wondering, is there a known reason why some people's iPhones get bricked after running QuickPWN? I'm using an iPhone 3G by the way.

I know 2 attempts probably isn't enough, but I haven't had much time to attempt jailbreaking because the restore process after a failure takes very long I'll continue to make attempts, but I'm just wondering if there's a reason why I'm being bricked so I can maybe do something about it lol. Thanks in advance

EDIT:

Another question. When I'm running QuickPWN and performing the Home button holding part. In the directions there's one step that says "Continue to hold down home for (30 sec)". Well, on my PC while it's counting down the 30 sec, it has always moved on to the next step at 21 seconds; that direction greys out and moves on to the "wait while quickpwn is blah blah"..

My question is, do I still have to hold down home even after it stops at 21 and count on my own? or is it ok to actually let go? THanks again in advance!

A lot of people need to know this.

Ok Kill Switch is made by Apple to force iPhone's and iPod touch and iPod's into DFU
Which means it kills your Apple Mobile Device, in a good way.

What You Need:
iPhone, iPod touch, computer with iTunes, sync cord, internet.

What To Do:
1.) Turn off your iPhone, iPod touch, (if it is stuck at boot logo apple or pineapple hold down HOME and POWER)

2.) After iPhone or iPod touch is fully off make sure your iTunes is open, plug the sync cord into your computer, next hold down HOME as you plug in your sync cord.

3.) While you hold down HOME you should see connect to iTunes, iTunes should say iPod or iPhone found in Recovery mode. Just hit restore and your iPhone or iPod will be fixed.

This is used for anything and everything. Also if you "find" and iPhone or iPod touch with a password this will also take the password away..
