Same here, it also got an error code of 1611 when Ifumes did a restore.
The screen will lit and it just sit there looking at you.
I never had used this Ifumes to update any Ipod/phone/touch, would that have anything to do with it?.
Many thanks.Last edited by nguyenhd; 07-30-2009 at 12:51 AM. Reason: missing some detail

2G phone w/3.1 update fix?
Is there a way that this might help me unlock my 2G iphone which accidentally got updated to OSv3.1? I read someplace that the 2G might be revertable but I can't find how to do this. Basically, when I got a 3G iphone, I unlocked/jailbroke my 2G to use as an extra ipod. Now I can't use it without re-activating it with a live SIM, and even then it won't work without a live SIM in it. If I use your recover method and recover to a previous version of the OS, will that allow unlock/jailbreak? What OS is best for this?
Thanks!

make sure that yr phone is connect to the pc when its completely off, does not matter wether itunes is on yr off.
NOW, keep pressing the HOME buttom approx 10 seconds untill you hear like a bell sound on the PC then let go the home bottum. NOW you should be in RECOVERY MODE and yr iphone will have just a blank screen.
To make sure, open itunes and it should tell you that this iphone is in recovery mode.
I hope this is cleared for everybody.
Ciao.
