I upgraded to 2.2.1 no problem... and I'm on T-Mobile in the US. Should I be concerned when upgraded to 3.0 that I didn't correct anything when upgrading to 2.2.1?

I followd your directions, howeve I just get a screen on my iTunes with "The SIM card in this iPhone does not appear to be suported."

I am running Windows Vista and my iPhone is a 2G version. Bugers made me wait 8 weeks to get this one, and the new 3G came out about 4 weeks later. Arrgh!

My wife did the update with out realising what would happen. some one said that redsn0w would corect this am I correct ? Or will I need to wait for ultrasn0w to be released? Thanks Fred. PS: To the Dev team you are what makes America Great with free Enterprise choices.

My iphone 3G was version 2.2.1 and I restore it to version 3.0 using itune
Now it works well , I can recieve calls and can send SMS and can use all functions of my phone EXCEPT to use it to call ? I s any help for that ? Do I need to downgrade to version 2.2 the upgrade to version 3.0 and how I can do that

I have succefully jailbroken Iphone 3G v2.2.1 with 6.02 bootloader and 2.30.03 baseband but I need to unlock it. I know that I cannot downgrade boot loader but if I upgrade its firmware to v3.0 then can I unlock it? Please help me out.

I am trying to restore my iPhone without iTunes having internet access.

I am using Windows XP, and I was wondering if someone know the steps to setting up a simple proxy server or other subterfuge to direct iTunes' requests to files of my choosing? What files would I need on my personal iTunes server? Where can I get these files etc.? I have been looking and I don't see a guide that addresses this issue.

I am running iTunes 8.0.2.20, if there is an earlier version of iTunes I should download so I can more easily setup my proxy server etc. I would appreciate that information.

My iPhone is running version 2.2.1, and I have the .ipsw for this firmware too.

I am having a very common problem which there are very few suitable answers for when you search the internet via google. A lot of people have complained about this issue and nobody that I noticed had given instructions how to beat iTunes once and for all.

Seeing as this is now the case with 3.1 firmware on baseband 5.11.04, I am now restricted from using ultrasn0w, like yellowsn0w. Yet, people are telling me i have permanently destroyed my chances of unlocking my iphone. Will they not release a different kind of ultrasn0w package?
