Easiest thing to do is restore your phone and try it all over again. Just keep trying it will work. I had that issue before. Also are you using the downloaded ipsw file or your own. Try the opposite of what you used before.

hi guys, i've followed all of the directions thoroughly. i have the 3g and so i downgraded, jailbreaked, and then installed yell0wsnow, rebooted and installed my tmobile sim card and nothing....reboot, taken out sim card over and over again and all i get is no service....what do i do?

if u were ever on 2.2.1 u cant use yellowsnow to unlock bcs u cant downgrade baseband so u need to jailbrake and get a turbosim to unlock

I having the same problem as ericaduh2007. I have a 2g iphone and have restored and upgraded firmware to 2.2.1. I have followed all the easy steps with quickpwn on my pc. It looks as though the process works, cydia and installer are placed on my iphone. However, when I put a t-mobile sim card in, it states connect to itunes, and it will not let make any calls besides emergency calls. Does not allow me to get past 1st screen either with t-mobile sim card, only with at&t card.

Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

Okay I am getting frustrated here. I have a 2g iphone (1st generation) and have tried everything under the sun to unlock this phone, followed the easy instructions and you tube videos, but cannot use my t-mobile sim card with it. Im in US. It says different sim detected, please connect to itunes.

Tried running quickpwn multiple times in different ways (with t-mobile sim card to start and the at&t sim card to start) and nothings working. Even tried downgrading to firmware 2.2 and running this and still no luck.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Coolwhip, I am in the same boat as you!! I have one last trick to try. I am going to get a sim copier and try to clone my 3g ATT sim on a ATT (64k sim or older 3g sim) and see if it works in the 2g iphone.

i have the 3g with att and my network is not available and it says carrier is null, any idea on how to fix this?
