I hold down the home button and power button - does nothing.. I've tried connecting into two other computer and it comes up with no error messages, and does not even make a sound to say that i have plugged in the device.. I don't know what there is to do unless i have to wait for something.. i must need HELP please because i am so worried.

sorry - i fixed it now.. I got it into some recovery mode (it showed nothing on the display) and then it said usb device not recognized on the computer.. I downloaded a driver for the ipod that will force the ipod into restore mode then i can restore it and it worked!
