Default Ipod Touch 2G 2.2.1 Jailbreak

    Hey people,

I'm looking at jailbreaking my iPod Touch 2G, but am finding it difficult to get clear instructions as to how.

    I'd really like to know:

    1) Is it possible to jailbreak a 2G iPod Touch with no major issues?

All following questions really depend on a "yes" to the above.

    2) Will it continue to function equally well as an iPod, ie. music and video playback.

    3) Will it maintain it's slick menus and music player looks

    4) Will I still be able to run apps from the app store, and access the app store

    5) Will it continue to work with iTunes

    6) Are there any major issues, ie. no WiFi

    7) Can I do it without paying for the 3.0 update, which I do not currently have enough money in my iTunes account to buy

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Yes, by using QuickFreedom, following Blacky's thread and getting your questions answered on My Thread (Stycky)

    2. Yes

    3. Yes, but you can customize them if you like to.

    4. Yes

    5. Obviously, yes

    6. Apart from a very odd scenario where you get stuck at the boot logo, and have to restore and re-jailbreak. No. But this is very unlikely.
