Activating the Iphone without simcard?

Hello, this is my first time doing a thread soo here..

Well i restored my iphone 2g from itunes? Than it did a restore and update. and i think it updated to a 3.0 O.S.? Well after everything finished. it told me to connect to ituens... when i connected, it ask me for a original sim card.. well the things is.. i don't have the original one..

So im wondering if theres any other way to pass the screen that says connect to itunes. with the Emergency calls only slide thingy? so i can jailbreak it? and than unlock it? Sorry for all the misspelled words and the grammar and what not.

I suggest you leave the new sim in the phone, use a clean iTunes where it doesnt restore your iPhone to its original, then redo all you have done including the 3.0 update that will update your phone with the new sim, then you can return to your old iTunes and restore it again, but remember to add your new sims mobile number in the phone settings before you do the restore, that way you will be able to retrieve all your old data.

take the sim out, so it gets ride of the message. then u should be able to see the slide to unlock and all that stuff. then do jailbreak, activate, and unlock all together, then it should care what sim u put it

uh no?.. it still say the same thing. slide for emergency.. and now it display a box saing no sim card installed.

well if it is updated to 3.0 or 3.0.1 then maybe just try jailbreaking it

i cant jail break it. it wont let me put it into dfu mode. i try. it just shut down. and if i want it to turn back on i have to replug it into a usb cord.. so yeaa?
