    Default [Windows][3g] redsn0w 0.7.1 not working

    redsn0w doesn't work it just hangs on "waiting for reboot".

    EDIT: 3rd try, it went through "updating first pass" "updating second pass" "updating third pass" then "done!" but it didn't actually do anything (the whole procedure took around 10 secs :\ ).

    Forgot to mention, during the "release power button but keep holding the home button" the screen flashes white, then turns black (and stays like that).

    I've been trying right after doing "restore" in iTunes (came from a 2.2 jb).

    I think you need to be on official firmware for it to work, if your on jb you need a custom ipsw from pwnage tool.

    just restored (again) to 3.0 via iTunes, still doesn't work. no "uploading ramdisk", just a white screen followed by a black screen.

    am i the only one with this issue ?

    in the meanwhile, i restored from itunes 7 times, each time i tried 10-15 times to jb...

    Use the "Run as Administrator" option to launch RedSn0w (right click on the exe file)

    A friend of mine using Vista x64 had the exact same issue until he tried this, I hope it will also work for you

    I already tried that, no luck also, i have disabled UAC (no luck either) ... sigh

    i'm open to suggestions.

    redsn0w apparently does not work on vista x86, but it worked like a charm on vista x64.

    Since it does not work with you ... try to use the Customize Firmware 3.0 ...
