Nothing is certain of the next gen Touch, but going by Apple's track record, you can be sure it'll carry the same hardware that the iPhone 3G S is packing. There are rumors that the next gen ipod touch will come with a camera.

ok i have had a talk with an apple official and all of you who aare expecting the next gen touch dont hold your breath because they have not even started with a new touch yet.

I think they will have a camera, larger hard drive space, a built-in microphone, video editing, and I definitely think it will be cheaper!

It sounds like an iPhone 3gs minus the phone! That would be pretty effin' awesome! I'd buy it in a heart beat! 64GB hard drive, 4MP camera, now all it needs is mobile wifi...

LOL! You actually thought that this "apple official" would tell you anything???

Well I think is very probable that apple is working in a new ipod touch, you can see it browsing by ssh into your ipt or iphone : /etc/bluetool/ and here are 2 or 3 files called: iPod3,1.boot.script, iPod3,1deepsleep.scipt and iPod3,1.init.script is the same clue that everybody discovered before the iphone 3g was released, what do you think?

Having the code with iPod3 is already a given that Apple is working on a 3rd gen Touch. It would be awesome to see a 64GB, and there also rumors that a GPS may find its way into the new touch. Can't wait for more info on this thing
