Anyone Tried using A2DP BT profile yet?, Posted 04-24-2009, 12:44 AM #1 (permalink)
I'm just curious. From the iPhone OS 3.0 info apple put out, A2DP was going to be delivered. Is this true, anyone tried it? I'd love to finally get a decent pair of headphones to workout with, and use BT instead of a freakin' wire!

I have been using a Sony Ericsson hbh-ds970 for about 2 years now, on sony ericsson phones. The main reason I never got an iPhone a long time ago is lack of support for a2dp. The iPhone now works with my headset to stream music from the music player, and it seems to work well. The remote control bluetooth profile (avrcp or something like that) only works for start/stop, can't use previous/next track controls on the unit.

The music sound quality is good (stereo) but I haven't tried the phone. I am having no luck skipping to the next track or going back to the start of the track either.

The only problem is when you are listening with some Bluetooth Stereo Headsets, there is an issue with syncing up with each other.

Yeah, happens to me too

I also get skipping and wierdness when the phone is in my back pocket, but no problems with the front... probably my headset, tho, the ME did the same thing.

The music works nicely over bluetooth for me, unless I have WiFi on and some heavy data traffic going. I noticed that AVRCP support is limited to play/pause as well, even on the GM release.
