When you're doing the Quickpwn process make sure you don't have the "activate" checked. I had the same problem I re-jailbroke without "activate" and it worked.

Ohh ok thankx got it.. Umm if i dont have a UDID number register to a dev u think it will still work?/ or i need that registered 100%

iPhone 3G
not yet jailbroken or unlocked.
Stock Firmware at 2.2.1 (5H11)
***ON A PC
How do I get 3.0b2 on the phone? I downloaded the latest Quickpwn from the link below, its sees my phone, then I point to the firmware which is on my phone (2.2.1) and it says it is not compatible. So I am assuming I need to do some preresiquite steps before running this correct? Possibly 3.0b1 ? Or at least somehow get the 3.0b1 or b2 firmware files?

dude if ur UDID is not registered to a dev's account.. Dont even bother it wont work for u

Ok, so I guess all this is only IF you are a registered beta tester for Apple. I was unaware of that. I have a friend who is and willing to give me his ID so I will go that route and get the 3.0b firmware from him. That is the only way to jailbreak to 3.0 from what you are saying correct?
