I have the exact same problem but with an iPhone 2g. When I jailbreak it, it gives me "No Service" error. I tried Unchecking and Checking the option still no good. The post seemed to say it was compatible with iPhone 2g. Cydia is installed successfully but I have no service. Please help me

Hi everybody.

I am new here, so please be gentle with me.. :-)

I am trying to JB my 3.0 beta 5 with QuickPWN as advertised.

I cannot seem to be able to launch it on my Windows XP SP3 pc.

I have tried on other pcs, I always get the crash

"The memory could not be read" message at the very start.

Please help.

Go to cydia..
install bootneuter... flasing ur baseband..
your carrier will show up..

I have the samen problem als Pongo, Service is T-mobile, The Netherlands.
What do you mean with activating in itunes? The phone is there... It doesnt need any activation there I guess. After the last jailbreak the screen: "your phone isnt activated blablabla" doesnt show anymore! Thats good right?

Now I have restored in itunes to A7312G, but its back again to "unregistered" in itunes. unable to complete your activation!

Jailbreak again?

What else can I do? Restore to 2.2.1 an option??

I've been reading another thread (which is extremely insightful). There's been talk on there that Winterboard works but you need to do some modifications. Some have said that both Cydia and WB work fine without any extra setup. Some say you need to SSH into the iPhone and rename files, copy/paste files to other locations, etc. I'm wondering if anyone has completed the JB. For me, having a JB phone means having themes, backgrounds, ringtones, etc. If that is not available I'll just wait for the official release.

BTW - iPhone 3G, Beta 5, Win Vista Premium.

After restoring it back to 7A312G in itunes it got stuck again and now I have jailbreaked it again with the activate mark in QCKPWN on!

Same problem, no service, off course this happened before but I dont know what to do next,
It's not possible to downgrade to 2.2.1 is it?

I am assuming you have your UDID registered with a developer - If so, then you are not suppose to select Activate on the QuickPWN install. The directions I've used clearly state this......
