Yeah, I found out the hard way. I called AT&T and told them I was developing an app that utilized the MMS functionality, and I was told that "ATT 5.0" is up, but not going to be switched on to the masses until 3.0 is live. She also went on to say that contacting Apple support may have a resolution. I don't know if that was a "I'm not allowed to tell you the workaround, but you can find it there." type statement or what.
What makes me curious is that it works for some people randomly. You'd think that if there was a "killswitch" on the service, it wouldn't work period (on ATT US anyway). That leads me to think that one could possibly modify their carrier settings on the phone to enable MMS. I've got some free time this evening so, I'll check it out. If there's anywhere anyone would suggest starting, I'd appreciate it.
Now if saurik (or anyone) would only get Cydia/Winterboard/SBsettings working correctly, I'd be ecstatic...
