Please disregard this message ... I can confirm now that the Jailbreaking of iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 2 is possible using the Un-Official QuickPwn 3.0 .. I am now using the same and it was successful. Congratulations folks....

Also, my problem is two-fold that I hope to fix by jailbreaking. Here's my story for those you are into tl;dr posts:

I had previous been running jailbreak 2.2, then I was accepted into the development program and upgraded to 3.0b2. Unfortunately while jailbroken I had been using dock to access most of my apps, and had hidden the icons using poof inside bossprefs. When I upgraded to 3.0b2 the hidden icons did not return, including Settings. At the moment I have no way to access my Settings, which is pretty troublesome. Well, not nearly as troublesome as not being able to access my carrier... but I digress. Is anyone aware of anyway to regain access to either or both of these features? Thanks!
try to restore the OS 3.0 beta 2 then re jailbreak your iphone and then make sure to UNCHECK 'Activate" and thats the time your Carrier will work. It happens to me with the same problem of yours and when i restore the OS 3.0 beta 2 then jailbreak that the time the carrier works ... enjoy

Thanks a ton. I'll probably just hold off. It makes me wonder if one could call AT&T (someone with a legit dev UUID registration) and inquire about how to get it working properly. I mean, if someone were to say they were developing an app with MMS functionality for iPhone 3.0, and that being able to test it was vital. You'd think if they explained how to make it work, or what needs to be changed, that we could get it working at least until the next (working) version is released. Thoughts?

They have actually been told to turn everyone away, even developers. Their newly changed terms of service put you at risk of termination if you have features on your plan that are for phones other than the iPhone such as the MediaNet package.

Yeah, I found out the hard way. I called AT&T and told them I was developing an app that utilized the MMS functionality, and I was told that "ATT 5.0" is up, but not going to be switched on to the masses until 3.0 is live. She also went on to say that contacting Apple support may have a resolution. I don't know if that was a "I'm not allowed to tell you the workaround, but you can find it there." type statement or what.
What makes me curious is that it works for some people randomly. You'd think that if there was a "killswitch" on the service, it wouldn't work period (on ATT US anyway). That leads me to think that one could possibly modify their carrier settings on the phone to enable MMS. I've got some free time this evening so, I'll check it out. If there's anywhere anyone would suggest starting, I'd appreciate it.

Now if saurik (or anyone) would only get Cydia/Winterboard/SBsettings working correctly, I'd be ecstatic...

Yeah unfortunately if you spoof you IMEI using Ziphone (Which is illegal by the way) your visual voicemail among other things will stop working.

Yeah, and most likely not worth the time involved to have some buggy, barely working picture messaging. I'll likely wait it out, but it sucks that one of the coolest new features is disabled during Beta testing. Seems counter-productive.

There are a few more services and menu changes yet to come as well. Its really only out to help developers ready their apps, not to test out and use for themselves. So what they did is pretty understandable. They know most of the 3.0 users are not developers and they haven't revoked it from us. Personally I would brick devices with 3.0 and limit two upgraded test phones per developer account.
