Yep, that was what I was checking here for. Should we not download 2.2.1 until QuickPwn provides an update? Are we thinking this is more of a fix for Yell0wSn0w than "General Safari Fixes" or both?

Thanks for the news raphemerald. I'll put this news up on the main page of QuickPWN right now! The iPhone Dev Team also posted about it on the homepage advising not to upgrade to it just yet (at least if you want to stay with a jailbroken iPhone and iPod Touch it would be wise not to upgrade).

i believe the update is generally for safaris stability among other simple changes a normal user wont notice like the super glow that one has when syncing in itunes sometimes

iPhone 2.2.1 Software Update

This update contains bug fixes and improvements, including the following:
• Improved general stability of Safari
• Fixed issue where some images saved from Mail do not display correctly in the Camera Roll

thats what itunes states for updates.

Hmmm, I'm not liking the sound of 2 minor updates... Do you guys think its the ar_boot Bug fix maybe? Or maybe even the Yellowsn0w fix?

my question is this if you do not necessarily need to jailbreak your iphone would it be possible to styll add cydia and installer to the iphone running 2.2.1 firmware with quickpwn 2.2??
im just querious cause i dont need to jailbreak as i am on a rogers network but if im able to styll add cydia and installer on my iphone then i wouldnt have to whate for an update on the program to jailbreak
i guess what im saying is for the people who are on an unlocked network can we upgrade and install cydia and installer with quickpwn 2.2 or any other method well on 2.2.1? or should we still whate for an update?

Welcome to the forums Leonidas. It's not possible to add Cydia/Installer to the iPhone without jailbreaking it. You will have to wait for an update to the QuickPWN/PwnageTool software in order to install the new firmware.
