As some of you already know, ever since firmware 3.0 came out, the Dev team and Geohot have been battling out about releasing their own jailbreaks and unlocks. Basically what happenned is Geohot has been angry at the dev team for not releasing the jailbreak because they didnt want apple to discover the way they jailbroke firmware 3.0, so Geohot released his very own jailbreak stating ''i dont understand why the dev team want to keep this a secret, apple release a new firmware, we jailbreak it, the release a patch and we find another way around'' This started a war about who will release a better jailbreak and as of today a better unlock. Recently the dev team have had some problems with their Ultrasn0w but as of today, they upgraded and fixed those problems and now have a better product then the competition!
What i'm trying to say is that for the first time, there is a real competition going on, and what does competition mean, faster response times to new firmwares, better products andmore efficient support, it will also let you choose weather you want redsn0w or purplerain. This is a good day for jailbreakers, i hope this continues and other will join the battle, maybe it'll release a little pressure on the dev team, or put more depending on how you see it!!!
