I work for a cumputer developpement company in Canada... THIS IS A HUGE FOUND !!! ... this is a very serious problem with the Safari application on all Iphone (2G,3G,3GS, running 2.2.1, and 3.0 version) ... since a long time I found out a huge bytes consummation on my Iphone , on a one single day I have consumed 2.4Gig of data usage…also my battery die in only 8 hours... WHY ???

I found that safari will keep updating all web pages even if you exit safari … for my example here, I got a security WEBCAM that I open on the Iphone using safari, after exiting safari with the HOME Button, if you go to SETTING-GENERAL-USAGE, check the “Cellular Network Data” statistic on the bottom of that page… (if you got WIFI, disable it, to perform this test) , note the 3G quantity bytes there, and just exit and go back again... and See for yourself… it’s continuing downloading data even if you’re no longer on safari !!! So safari will keep spending Bytes while you’re sleeping!!!, It’s also have a HUGE impact on your battery life !!! SEE FOR YOURSELF… Is this what the cell phone providers count on, to screw up customers!!!

Now, never left any web pages open in safari, and I saw a significant change on my bill…

What do you think of that !!!!
