Anyone tried this with the iPhone 3g?

I like th fact I can swap out batteries if I'm not near a charging source. Bought this and some NiMh rechargeable batteries. Gonna be taking a 30 hour plane ride and hope it can provide power the entire way.

No... but I did purchase IPWR item that is similar to this item. Works ok.....I charge my phone when it's starts getting low... (since 3.0 seems to suck the life out of the battery in record time) - it can only be charged thru USB cable though. It does have the OFF / ON switch so the power isn't drained if it's not being used.

Nice to have when you can't plug your phone in and you need to charge your phone.
