I purchased a Kensington external battery, and so far i'm lovin it. I got to watch 3 full Lord of the Rings movie and I still had enough juice for another 2 more full movies.

Maybe I got a duff one but the Kensington drains really fast, it won't even charge the phone fully! I bought a Duracell one for about $30 and that works really well.

My Kensington uses the data sync cable to connect from battery to phone/ipod. Originally I opted for the smaller Kensington that attaches directly to the phone, but I wanted a more juice so ended up getting the larger version.

There are some great tuts out on instructables to solder the 30 pin connector so why not buy the slimest LiMH battery with the highest life and make one. i would but i would have no use for it, i dont use it as a phone.
