No Internet connection.....

Hi all,
I have recently jailbroken my new iPhone, and while for the most part am very happy with it, I now am not able to connect to the internet using my 3G data download. Wi-fi via my home net set-up is fine, but away from home i cannot connect to the internet. A message reading "Internet Explorer cannot open the page because no internet connection was detected" appears everytime I try to connect. After talking to Telstra regarding this, I figured this must be due to the jailbrake, as Internet Explorer is not an Apple product and therefore should not be trying to connect me. Any ideas as to how I can rectify this problem without having to restore my iPhone top it's previously standard and somewhat bland status?

I do not have a resolution, but am having the same issue. I have tried restarting my phone several times and turning 3G and Data Roaming off and on. I am in the Atlanta area which is where Cingular was headquartered. I can connect to the internet (through any program on the phone, e.g. Safari, Twitterfon, Accuweather, Atlanta Live Weather Theme) using wi-fi, but not using a 3G or Edge connection. I recently installed SNES and Genesis 4 iPhone and added ROMs for those which nearly maxed out the memory on my phone. If I find a solution soon, I guess I will just restore and re-jailbreak it.

Exactly the same problem here. It (the jailbreak) has been working for over a month with no problems whatsoever, and then just this past weekend 3G internet crapped out (Safari cannot etc.. because it is not connected to the internet). WiFi still works fine. No amount of reboots can solve this issue. Programs I have running under jailbreak are: Cycorder, Bossprefs, Winterboard, Modem, Flashlight, the fix for Skype, CompactTV. No idea which of these is causing the incompatibility.

I can receive e-mail via 3G, but can't send it! (Connection to cwxm failed - that's AT&T's outgoing SMTP server).

do you have an option to turn on and off EDGE in the settings->General-> network settings area (same area you turn on and off 3g and data roaming?

I DO NOT have that option
If you did you could reset the APN settings and access edge at tath point

I cannot get to that option though even though i have downloaded the APN editing software from Cydia.

ANY HELP????
