Any firmware proggies out there?, Posted 09-15-2009, 09:41 PM #1 (permalink)
i have a bricked iphone bought off ebay stuck in reboot mode that for the life of me cant get going. Done all kinds of restores, dfu modes, downgraded firmwares and always gets stuck on modem firmware. ALWAYS GETTING ERROR 1011 OF DEATH on this phone. Hangs when installing bootnueter for modem firmware and don't want to unsolder battery and get another comm board. Is there anyone out there with a way for me to fix this , than turning around and sell back on ebay for parts? SUCH A WASTE!!!!! THANKS FOR ANY HELP OUT THERE... I have hacked my psp, pc's and erased and installed firmware, but this is ridiculous.... (sorry, but by the way its a 2g iphone, with latest firmware3.1 hacked)

Go under Jailbreaking Catagorie and check the If You Think your iphone is BRICKED read here.

That will fix it.

If not i will make you a custom bootneuter and IPSW file to restore it. ( It will work for you. But you need to update to 3.1 after you do it )

Aim me or Email me or Post Back. ( I check forums every 20-30 minutes

ur home button or power button is stuck. or even both. i had this issue with my 2g iphone. after i changed the buttons it worked fine.

so the buttons are stuck being pressed down on even if your not touching it.

i helped someone on here earlier and that was his problem. same issues too.

and yes you can do it yourself. I suggest buying the right tools. When i did my first one, i messed the backing up big time. when i did my second 2g, i bought the tools off of ebay. it was hard to use at first but did leave any marks. just some advice, dont do it when your hands are oily, best time to do it is when you get out of the shower or washing ur hands really good. If you touch the ribbons when your had is oily then your going to need to buy new parts again.

but thats just what happened to me, not sure if it happened to anyone else.

if you lived in hawaii then it would be much easier. We have a iphone shop here and it only cost 40 bucks to replace and labor. and this guy is awesome. excellent job and under 15 minutes
