Headphone problem, Posted 07-03-2009, 02:50 PM #1 (permalink)
Hi all me again,

I've only had my Iphone a week and I seem to have a problem with my headphones. Think I may have pulled the plug to quick and disturbed the plug hole thingy in the Iphone. They still sound fine when listening but the stop start button has stopped working and sometimes when I pull the headphone plug out the ipod starts playing. So my question is, If I send it back to apple or 02 will they take the jailbreak off and put it back to factory settings?

Many thanks

well if you send it back to apple they will more than likely send it back to you without touching it as you have voided your warranty . . . jailbreaking is a no no but we all love to do it. ( personally I am waiting for the 3GS jailbreak )

Regardless, sounds like you may have pulled the wires from the inside I would guess that if you purchased a new set ( or used a set from an iPod ) try that and see if that works for you.

Ah, I didn't think of that. With my service provider though 02 who I got the phone from, I pay for the gold insurance what is suppoosed to cover everything I think, accidental damage, stolen, etc etc. i wonder if that makes any difference.

Anyway thanks for the advice I'll get another set of headphones and try that
