FAQs for each of the different Boards, Posted 01-29-2009, 06:06 PM #1 (permalink)
I think it would be good to have a FAQ on each of the boards that's stickied with the questions that would otherwise be repeated too often in threads without it.

So an Jailbreak FAQ in the Jailbreaking/Unlocking the iPhone board and General iPhone FAQ for the next board and so on down the page, maybe making exceptions for things like news and introductions.

This way threads can be kept simple as people would know to check FAQs before posting or repeating questions asked earlier in the same threard, which in turns makes it easier for all of us to get hold of the information we need if the topic we need info on has already been posted.

Having one big FAQ will be better. then just organize it and multiple faqs wont be needed.

FAQs don't help. it's easier for noobs to type a question that has been asked 100 times before than to actually exceed a 2% mental capacity and use an FAQ feature or search feature.

no matter how much info you give people, they will still ask the same questions even if its string them in the face.

then they get upset when you go tell them to read the forum or FAQ's
Remember Google is your friend.

Please use the forum search before posting,

This will save a lot of duplication of questions
