now seriously.... did anyone that reads this unlock their iPhones and how? Any issues?
I am thinking to go to my brothers (he has a iMac) and use the pwnagetool to unlock my 2G iPhone... or should I just wait for the QuickPwn unlock tool (if they will come out on Friday) like it was mentioned.

I read all these threads with all those issues people are running into with the unlocked OS 3.0... not sure I'm ready to upgrade... (would hate to have issues with my perfect working iPhone on 2.2.1)

I don't know. I know redsn0w seems to work similar QuickPWN,But I didn't update to 3.0 or 8.2 iTunes yet because I'd rather use QuickPWN then redsn0w. And I know 3.0 is the biggest update yet but It's still just an update,It has more feature's and bug fixes. Most of the feature's I'd use such as Stereo Bluetooth may not work since I have an iPhone 2G. [Apple said so but I havn't tried.] So I'm really not so excited of the 3.0 release,But I will update if a QuickPWN 3.0 is released.

So seriously, you'd rather wait for this quickpwn, than use redsnow? I'm asking because I'm thinking, if this next quickpwn doesn't come from the dev team, how well is it going to work? Plus I've already seen the video on YouTube, and read many posts from people saying that redsnow works well.

I guess I don't mind waiting because I'm not so excited of the 3.0 OS anyways. But of course when/if a QuickPWN 3.0 is released,I'll see what people say about that,Maybe check YouTube like I usually do then compare them. If It's okay,I'll just use QuickPWN 3.0.

Yeah, good call. I just feel better now that redsnow 0.7.2 is out, and after reading the posts like I said, and the video made it all look so straightforward, you know? Plus, I've already "upgraded" to 3.0 and I must say I'm NOT impressed. I regret doing it because now I've been without my jailbreak for WAY too long!

Yeah I know. Apple said over 100 new feature's so I don't know what all is new,But I can say-Landscape support,Stereo Bluetooth [If it worked.],Spotlight Search,And Cut,Copy&Paste is mainly all I'd use. I hope it fixes my WiFi issue though. It get's annoying with my connection timing out when I'm trying load something or when I'm Instant Messaging. But I guess I'll just wait and hopefully someone uploads a video of QuickPWN 3.0. Then I'll make my final choice.

I didn't switch to OS 3.0 yet on my 2G iPhone... I am disappointed that MMS won't work on it, among other features that would of been nice.... MMS is a big deal though.... no video recording either....

I guess I'm more upset with myself than anything else, for being so impatient! LOL. Mine was jailbroken, I had it set up JUST like I wanted it, and I just COULDN'T wait! Now I'm all back to factory like settings and my wife, meanwhile is over there with her themes and her name replacing the carrier logo and all that stuff!!! DAMMIT!! LOL
