I've been reading these boards and I think I've tried everything but maybe I've missed something.
I downloaded quick pwn. Because I have itunes 8.2 I erased that from my drive and downloaded/installed 8.1. Because of no success initially, I did a complete factory reset on my ipod touch and restored it. Oh, I have a 1G Touch 2.2.1.
When I run Quickpwn, I receive two messages where I click OK (the start up screens), it tells me to connect my device, I do, itunes syncs, and then nothing happens. I try running pwn with the ipod already connected, hit okay twice, itunes starts to sync again, this time I receive an itunes error message that it could not sync b/c another syncing is already in progress. Then, when I click okay, it finishes and nothing happens.
Am I missing a step? Doing something wrong?

More info: I realized that I had download a program that ran on my mac but may have actually been the windows version. I don't quite understand. But I ran pwnage tool instead and it at least runs. It goes through all the steps but I can't figure out how to restore from the custom firmware at this point.
