As you may already know, HP is killing the HP TouchPad. They’ve reduced the price of the HP TouchPad with webOS software from $399 to as low as $99 for the 16GB version and from $499 to $149 for the 32 GB version. It’s sold out in some stores already, and we are tracking online stores that are selling it on this page. We will be monitoring and updating it in real time. Be sure to keep checking if you want a discount.

Xbox addict dies from Blood Clot in England

Chris Staniforth, a 20 year old recently died due to a blood clot after a marathon video game session on his Xbox gaming system. He spent up to 12 hours at a time playing on his Xbox. An autopsy reveals that Chris suffered from deep vein thrombosis. Chris has no history of any bad health or medical conditions.

Chris loved playing Halo, and he collapsed shortly after he told his friends about painful sensations in his chest. Chris’s family is starting a campaign to raise awareness of deep vein thrombosis and how playing games excessively can be harmful.

Apple Launching Something BIG on iTunes Tomorrow

Apple has updated their Apple.com homepage with the text “Tomorrow is just another day. That you’ll never forget. Check back here tomorrow for an exciting announcement from iTunes.”

At 7:00 AM PST or 10:00 AM EST Apple will be announcing something new through their iTunes software.

iOS 4.2 for iPhone, iPod, and iPod touch is expected to be released tomorrow.

I’m sure the announcement is something bigger than iOS 4.2 because Apple wouldn’t hype tomorrow’s announcement unless they were announcing something BIG. New MacBook Air Announced at the Apple Back to the Mac Event

Yesterday Apple announced a new MacBook Air during the Apple Back to the Mac Event. The new MacBook Air is faster, more reliable, and lighter and smaller due to solid state flash storage (SSD). Just like the iPad, the MacBook Air has instant-on, which means that it instantly turns on after you open the lid from standby mode. It has up to 7 hours battery life if you actively use it, or 30 days standby time. Notable changes in the MacBook Air hardware include a higher resolution, SSD, two usb ports, and an SD-card reader (only on 13-inch MacBook Air).

The new MacBook Air is available in 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch models, and weighs less than 2.3 pounds. The 1.4 GHz 11-inch MacBook Air with 2GB of memory and 64GB of flash storage starts at a suggested retail price of $999 (US) with a 128GB model for $1,199 (US). The 1.86 GHz 13-inch MacBook Air with 2GB of memory and 128GB of flash storage starts at a suggested retail price of $1,299 (US) with a 256GB model for $1,599 (US).

What’s missing from the MacBook Air is an optical drive. So if you want to use CD’s/DVD’s you’re out of luck! Instead of including a CD like Apple has done for their previous MacBook’s, a USB Flash drive is included so MacBook Air users can use their USB ports to re-install/restore their Mac. The new MacBook Air also does not have a backlit keyboard, if that matters to you at all. Surprisingly rather than using the modern Intel Core i3 processor for the new MacBook Air, Apple decided to use the older Intel Core 2 Duo processor instead. New iPod touch 4th Generation Specs, Pre-Order Information, and Price

The New iPod touch 4th Generation hardware was announced today during Apple’s September 1 music event. The main specs of this new iPod touch 4th generation include 960 by 640 pixel resolution at 326 pixels per inch Retina Display, video recording HD (720p), and VGA-quality front camera. The new iPod touch 4th generation can be pre-ordered today from here. The iPod touch will start shipping after a week, and free engravings can also be added.

The 8GB iPod touch 4th generation costs $229, the 32GB iPod touch 4th generation costs $299, and the 64GB iPod touch 4th generation costs $399.

Apple September 2010 Live Event: New iPod touch Announced!

Apple announced a new iPod touch during their live music event. The new iPod touch is thinner, has a front and rear camera, and a retina display. A lot of our users complained last year when Apple announced a new iPod touch without camera last year, let us know how you feel in the comments now!

One of the big features of the iPod touch besides the camera on the front and back is the retina display. iPod touch users will also be able to use FaceTime to video chat with iPhone or iPod touch users. HD Video recording is also included on the new iPod touch.

The new iPod touch can be pre-ordered from Apple.com today and it will be out next week. Anyone getting it?

Frash Will Allow You to Install Flash on iPad

Apple themselves have stated that they will never add support for Adobe Flash Player on the iPad or any of it’s other mobile devices. If you were one of the many people upset by this, then you should be happy by what you will read here. A hacker named comex has managed to run Flash on the iPad, and is working on making it available to other iPad users. The Flash installer is named “Frash” 5GBE99275V6D.

Frash is currently in beta. The developer of this program plans on releasing Frash as soon as he manages to get it to be more stable. As of right now Flash can run most Flash programs natively on the iPad. A video of Flash Player on iPad in action can be seen here.

If you are a developer, you can find out how to download and install Frash from here. The libflashplayer.so file is required in order to use the Frash software, so unless you have an Android phone you won’t be able to install it.

White iPhone 4G Pre Order, Not Available In Apple Store

White iPhone 4G Pre Order was not available in the Apple Store today, just as I expected in my iPhone 4G Pre Order post. When Apple launched the iPhone 4 Pre Order site, only the Black iPhone 4 was available for pre order. Next to the White iPhone 4, Apple wrote that the White iPhone 4 is currently unavailable for pre-order or in-store pickup.

I tried to pre order the Black iPhone 4G but kept getting a “We’re sorry, but there was an error processing your request”. I had to wait 20 minute for an Apple Support representative on live chat. An Apple representative told me that the system was having problems and I’d have to try later. I went to AT&T and Apple’s site, but neither was able to let me Pre Order iPhone 4G.

Share your story with us in the comments, I searched on Twitter and noticed that many other people were having problems with pre ordering as well. I hope Apple fixes their problems soon, I really don’t want to wait in line to get an iPhone 4G.

The XBOX 360 Slim Release Date for Europe has been announced by Microsoft on Twitter. According to a tweet by Microsoft, July 16th is the date Microsoft is releasing the XBOX 360 Slim gaming console. Those living in the US will be glad to know that the new XBOX 360 releases in stores this week

New XBOX 360 gaming console was announced by Microsoft during the E3 gaming conference. Think of the New XBOX 360 as a XBOX 360 Slim, because it’s slimmer. The New XBOX 360 gaming system has a black glossy box. According to a Microsoft Twitter account, July 16 is the date Europe will get the New XBOX 360.
