Apple has released the new iOS 5 GM software release to developers in the iOS Dev Center. The iOS 5 GM aka iOS 5 Golden Master release is the final release of iOS 5 until it's officially released to the public on October 12th. iOS 5 will have over 200 new features including, messaging, notifications, and over the air updates. For those who are currently using a beta version of iOS 5, the iOS 5 GM build needs to be downloaded from the iOS Dev Center and can't be updated over the air.

iOS 5 can be jailbroken, but no jailbreak has been released yet. Wait until the final iOS 5 release for a jailbreak.
