Written By Unknown on Monday, February 7, 2011 | 6:41 AM

[UPDATE]: The Verizon iPhone jailbreak has now been released.

Is it possible to jailbreak Verizon iPhone 4? Yes! This is a photo of a jailbroken Verizon iPhone 4 on iOS 4.2.6 by Lunch80x (click image above for full size). It was jailbroken using Chronic Dev Team's greenpois0n software. The greenpois0n software used to jailbreak this phone is unreleased, but it will be released as soon as it's ready. The current version of greenpois0n is not compatible with Verizon iPhone 4.

This is good news for Verizon iPhone users. So who here has a Verizon iPhone and is planning to jailbreak? Let us know in the comments!

Thanks for the tip jazzy!

Just got my Verizon iPhone this morning and I'm planning on jailbreaking asap. Why pay a sub for tethering when I can get an app for it through jailbreaking? Also I'm running on 4.2.5. Should I upgrade to the iOS in the story? Or will it be easier/faster to jailbreak the firmware I have now?

got my phone on Monday and used greenpoison to jailbreak while running 4.2.6. Tried to tether through Tetherme app and got no where. the app shows up where it should in settings but wont connect, it prompts a message to contact verizon. hopefully an update will fix this but it seems that jailbreaking dosen't benifit too much atm, unless you want some free apps. gonna see if i can get a 3g bypass to work today
