iOS4 has more than 1,500 features. iOS4 features include multitasking, folders, retina display integration, mail – unified inbox & threading, Enhanced Camera & Photos apps, Deeper Enterprise support, and a lot more.

You think there will be some way to get some features to work on 2nd gen when it comes out. Obiviusly ppl cant know until it is out though.

Not that I’ve heard of but lets hope that geohot or the dev team find a way i dont want to have to buy a new phone just to get multitasking or some of the other features they are deciding to screw us over on

      • Matt says:

Multitasking is disabled only on the phones with slow processors, getting it to work will prob be possible but being able to realistically use it is another thing.

    • Tim says:

I’m Fairly sure it works with everything except 1st gen ipod and iphone.

    • Randy says:

No it won’t be. The 2G simply cant handle the new features. That’s why the 3G wont be able to perform multitasking, simply not does not have a powerful enough processor.

      • Randy says:

It’s not a matter of finding some hack or jailbreaking the new OS, the phone is simply not built for that, multitasking will require a 3G S or 4G.

        • Belu says:

But why is it available for 3G when hardwarewise it’s the same as the first iphone. OK, multitasking won’t work. But neither will it work on 3G.

    so sad, no

Ok, see I don’t see why it would be a problem. My iPod touch 2g is jailbroken and multitasks just fine. I skype with my friends and use safari. Admittedly it won’t play huge memory gobbling games, but simple tasks and average sized apps work just fine. And sometime the larger games do work with multitasking, it just depends. So where are you getting that the iPhone 2g won’t be able to if my 2g iPod touch can?

i think apple doesnt want to give an upgrade that might work fine at most times . u cant sell somthing that works ony on ” it depends “
