Verizon iPhone Release Date and iPhone 4G Competitors

The Verizon iPhone Release Date is rumored to be in 2010, 2011, or 2012. We’ll just have to wait and see if the rumors are true, but I’m sure at some point we will indeed see a Verizon iPhone on the Verizon Wireless network. By that time the iPhone will probably have improved a lot due to serious competition from competitors like Google’s Android operating system. June 2010 is the earliest rumored date that we may see a Verizon iPhone.

The iPhone 4G has been leaked across the web, multiple times through different sources. The first source is a tech blog, Gizmodo who acquired their iPhone 4G prototype unit from someone who found it in a bar. The second source is a Vietnamese blog that posted pictures like the one above on their blog. Apple is well known for keeping their new products hidden until launch, so any leak on the iPhone 4G is BIG news.

The top competitors of the iPhone 4G, no doubt, are phones that run Google’s Android operating system. The best one right now is the HTC Droid Incredible, which has a 8.0 mega-pixel camera. The one that will be the BEST phone is the HTC EVO 4G once it’s out, because of the 4.3″ screen, good hardware design, 1.3-mega-pixel video chat camera on front, and 8.0 mega-pixel camera on back, and actual 4G connectivity through Sprint’s WiMAX network. I hope to see Apple improve their iPhone 4G hardware and software before they launch the Verizon iPhone.
