Verizon iPhone Release Date and iPhone 4G 4.0 June Announcement
The Verizon iPhone Release date is a hotly debated topic, so all I can say is it can be 2010,2011, or as late as 2012. It also depends on whether or not AT&T and Apple are still tied together due to the 5-year contract they signed in 2007. I would really like to see the Verizon Wireless network getting an iPhone. If AT&T and Apple’s exclusivity period has ended, then 2010 or 2011 may be the month of the Verizon iPhone.
The iPhone 4G phone will be running iPhone 4.0 software once it’s out. Apple will be announcing the iPhone 4G during the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. The WWDC is held from June 7-11. Leaked pictures of the iPhone 4G hardware have already shown us that it has a camera for video chat on the front.
Not only will the iPhone 4G launch in June, but America’s first 4G phone, the HTC EVO 4G, will also officially launch on June 4. The HTC EVO 4G has some incredibly great specs, and I’m more excited about it than I am about the possibility of a Verizon iPhone.

i think what happen is that apple renegotiated with at&t exclusivity on the ipad in exchange to renegotiate the contract on the iphone to be finished this exclusivity sooner so that will allow apple to negotiate with verizon
i dont mean to be a downer or anything but i really hope verizon doesnt get an iphone. i absolutely hate verizon and would hate to make a switch to a network i hate.
