iPad 3G

Today Apple made a press release announcing that it's sold it's one millionth iPad on Friday, April 30 but they did not announce how many of these were iPad WiFi's and iPad WiFi + 3G's. It's safe to say that most of the iPad's sold were mainly iPad WiFi's because the iPad 3G was just released on April 30. Apple also announced that over 12 million apps were downloaded from the App Store, while the iBooks store had over 1.5 million eBooks downloads.

“One million iPads in 28 days—that’s less than half of the 74 days it took to achieve this milestone with iPhone,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “Demand continues to exceed supply and we’re working hard to get this magical product into the hands of even more customers.”

The iPhone 4G phone is going to be announced any time during the annual World Wide Developer Conference which is being held from June 7-11. The first software based iPad jailbreak called Spirit Jailbreak was released by comex recently, so iPad users will now be able to customize their iPad with themes and add more apps that don't make it to Apple's App Store. You can get the latest Spirit Jailbreak download links from the downloads section.

I finally got to an apple store to demo an ipad and I was unable to rearrange the home screen icons! What a disappointment. Is this only true with the demo models or all models?

You can re-arrange the home screen icons or add or remove them the same way you can on the iPhone. This feature must have been disabled on the demo unit you saw.

Ah thanks. I bet they just didn't want people deleting the apps!
