HTC EVO 4G Release Date and Price officially announced by Sprint

HTC EVO 4G
This week Sprint finally made a press release announcing the release date of the HTC EVO 4G. The Nexus One was originally planned to be released by Sprint, but they decided to go with the better and more powerful HTC EVO 4G instead. June 4, 2010 is the release date of the HTC EVO 4G.

The price of the HTC EVO 4G is $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a 2-year agreement. Sprint users will also be required to pay an additional $10 monthly “premium” because Sprint expects users to use a lot of data on this phone. It is important to note that even with the premium, Sprint still has a really good deal on their plans. Many customers have been complaining about this premium charge. It still applies to you regardless of whether or not you use 4G.

The HTC EVO 4G is launching in the same month Apple will announce the iPhone 4G. It has a 1 GHz Qualcomm processor, 8.0 mega-pixel camera on back, and 1.3 mega-pixel camera on the front. It will run on the Android 2.1 operating system, and support Adobe Flash Player as well.
