Verizon iPhone release date, new iPhone 4G, and iPhone OS 4.0 software download update

Verizon iPhone

The photo you see up there is the new iPhone 4G hardware prototype with Apple’s new iPhone 4.0 software. The Verizon iPhone release date may be in June 2010, or June 2011. An article on The Wall Street Journal has said that Apple may launch a Verizon iPhone with a CDMA chip and a separate new iPhone 4G with iPhone OS 4.0 software download this summer.

Have you heard the story behind the new iPhone 4G pictures that were leaked? If not, then here it is. An Apple software engineer got drunk in a bar, and someone decided to steal his iPhone 4G. The new iPhone was then sold to popular tech blog, Gizmodo who started posting pictures and videos of the new iPhone online. A lot of buzz about the new iPhone was caused on the web because of this, and Apple got a lot of free press. You’d think this leak was intentional, but actually was not. Apple sent Gizmodo an email with a legal notice, and Gizmodo complied and returned the iPone 4G. The new iPhone 4G has a front facing camera and a micro-sim slot. iPhone OS 4.0 software included in the new iPhone will support video chat, and multi-tasking.
