Verizon iPhone release date, new iPhone 4G, and 4.0 during WWDC

Verizon iPhone
Last week the new iPhone hardware prototype was leaked, but we didn’t get to see a demo of it in action because Apple had remotely wiped the iPhone OS 4.0 mobile device software for the iPhone 4G. This specific iPhone picture is not a Verizon iPhone because it has a micro-sim slot.

We could be seeing a Verizon iPhone this year, according to analysts and The Wall Street Journal. WWDC is when we will find out if a Verizon iPhone is launching. I am still skeptical about a Verizon iPhone launching this year because Verizon does not have their 4G network and it won’t be ready until 2011. It would be nice to connect iPhone to Verizon’s network, because AT&T coverage sucks in my area.

The iPhone 4G will suport video chat, but won’t support Adobe Flash Player. It will be announced during the Worldwide Developers Conference 2010. You can find out more about the iPhone 4G by checking out the 8 things to know about iPhone 4G post.
