Verizon iPhone release date, iPhone 4G release date, and iPhone OS 4.0 on June 7

This photo is an iPhone 4G hardware prototype with iPhone 4.0 software that was leaked early by tech blog Gizmodo. June 7 is the date the rumored Verizon iPhone may be announced, along with the new iPhone 4G and iPhone 4.0 software.

Apple has announced June 7 as the date for the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2010. It’s obvious that the new iPhone 4G mobile device will be announced this same day along with the iPhone OS 4.0 software.

The 4G in iPhone 4G does not mean a 4G network, it’s really just an acronym for iPhone fourth generation hardware. Some blogs are even calling the iPhone 4G the iPhone HD aka high definition just to avoid causing confusion.

The iPhone 4G has a front facing camera with support for video chat. Various codes found in the iPhone 4.0 Developers SDK shows that there will be support for video chat within the new social gaming center. This will bring iPhone gaming to a whole new level.
