Verizon iPhone release date, iPhone 4G & iPhone OS 4.0: The countdown has begun

Verizon iPhoneThe Verizon iPhone is a really hot topic, now that the iPhone 4G prototype hardware photo has confirmed the new iPhone that Apple is launching in June. Apple, today announced their WWDC 2010 release date:  June 7. In 39 more days we shall find out what new gadgets and software updates Apple has in store for us.

The iPhone 4G was leaked early last week, and it was found with a video camera on the front. The camera can be used for video chat, and developer’s who have checked the code in Apple’s latest SDK  have noticed code that suggests video chat will be supported.

The iPhone 4G also has a higher resolution than the iPhone 3GS, and Gizmodo noticed that when they saw the “Connect to iTunes” screen before their iPhone 4G prototype stopped working.

The Verizon iPhone won’t be working on a 4G network because Verizon’s 4G network won’t be out until year 2011. If AT&T is the only service in the US that Apple offers the iPhone 4G on this year, I may just get the HTC Evo 4G on Sprint or Droid Incredible on Verizon instead.

I agree, Apple would continue to lose out on tons of customers/buyers if they did not release the iphone to Verizon and/or Sprint.
I hope they release to Sprint as they have the only 4G network right now.
