New iPhone or iPhone 4G, iPhone HD, and iPhone 4.0

The new iPhone, also called the iPhone 4G or iPhone HD will be launching in June with the iPhone 4.0 software download. The prototype photo that Gizmodo leaked shows a front-facing camera. Does that mean we will get video chat? It probably does, because developers have found code in the iPhone 4.0 firmware which gives proof of video chat integration in the upcoming iPhone OS 4.0 software.

If video chat is supported in the iPhone 4.0 software, then this will be big! It will be a whole new experience for iPhone users. It will definitely be a challenge for AT&T, and we may be seeing them charge extra for the video chat service. We have reached out to Skype to ask them whether or not they will support video chat on the iPhone. Currently they only support audio chat. Would you buy an iPhone 4G just for the video chat support?
