New iPhone 4G Case: Gizmodo update, and iPhone 4.0

The photo above is the new iPhone 4G hardware prototype with iPhone 4.0 software. This image and a lot of other pictures were leaked by technology blog Gizmodo. They purchased the new iPhone 4G from someone who stole it from an Apple software engineer. According to a Gizmodo staff member, they were unaware that they were buying a stolen iPhone 4G.

The iPhone 4G is coming in June, and we have now learned that it has a front facing camera. Is Gizmodo in trouble with the law? Right now Apple has contacted their local police and they are investigating. Gaby Darbyshire from Gawker, which owns Gizmodo told Business Week that they haven’t been contacted by law enforcement yet.
