For me, I would much rather have the HP Slate. It has two cameras, one still one on the back and a video camera on the screen side. You can use skype or video conferencing on it. First off if you don't like the iPad or don't want one you shouldn't talk trash about it just don't get one. Okay I understand that it doesn't multitask but there is a reason for that. If it supported multitasking then it would run a lot slower and everyone would be complaining about that. Now to the other complaints, why would someone buy an iPad instead of a net book, well why would you buy a net book instead of a laptop p.c.. The price isn't much different, but the iPad seems just like an iPhone just bigger. I bought an iPad and I have to say that it is to a certain extent, but HELLO WORLD they are running the same OS. Now the net book isn't really more affordable or portable than a smaller laptop but the iPad is. It can do some of the work and most of the Internet exploring that anyone would need instead of toting around a big computer. The iPad is all someone needs to surf the web, get their e-mail, play games, read books, get the news, and everything Apple said they would be. Now for everyone else's complaints they are ridiculous, are you serious you are really complaining about the placement of the headphone jack. In case everybody didn't know but the iPad rotates in any direction so you put it where you want it. That's all thanks.
