iPad jailbreak: greenpois0n, geohot, and iPhone Dev Team
Now that the iPad has been released, many users will want to wait for an iPad jailbreak to enable all the features that Apple has not included in the iPad software. This includes multi-tasking, themes, and a lot more. There are three methods that can get us an iPad jailbreak, and these are: greenpois0n, geohot, and iPhone Dev Team.
1. greenpois0n iPad jailbreak
greenpois0n is an upcoming jailbreak utility created by the Chronic Dev Team. Screenshots have been posted by p0sixninja, one of the main members but he has not announced anything else.
2. geohot
Geohot has proven himself many times. He has created the easiest jailbreaking software ever (blackra1n), so personally I would wait for him to create the iPad jailbreak. Geohot has said he won’t be releasing the iPad jailbreak until the other iPad 3G is out because Apple can patch the exploit before then and this won’t benefit many people.
3. iPhone Dev Team
The iPhone Dev Team consists of a lot of smart iPhone hackers. Although the iPhone Dev Team is usually not quick in releasing jailbreaks, their jailbreaks are always the most reliable.

Geohot needs to make a public annoucenment on his blog of wheter he will release his jb on the 3rd or not.
People are waitting on there, refreshing for 12hours+ anticipating.

Yes, I totally agree with you. I have spent the last week refreshing every 3-4 hours on the news. Is it so bloody hard to tell the date??? At least approximately? It’s not like apple will be able to patch anything if he does…
We don’t even WANT the date.
We just want to know if its going to be out on such a prominent date i.e. ipad release.
If not, we will happily go and actully do something more productive.
LOOL U GAYS! Do u kno how hard it is to jailbreak an iProduct? It takes time and these guys arent some robots that work on iPhones all day every day. They also have lifes and quite frankly; ur not being very considerate because if i put an iPhone 3gs infront of you and asked you to find an exploit, code a jailbreaking program and then publish it but before doing-so, make it 99% success rate of jb’ing so that peoples iPhones arent bricked. Think about this before you ask questions like: whens it gonna be release?? Geohot, ChronicTeam and DevTeam do this for FREE! They can take as long as they want so STFU and continue waiting

Yeah, it’s people like you who make us all look bad. The JB Team (Geohot, Dev Team, Chronic Dev et al.) don’t owe us anything, but we owe them shitloads. Don’t be a cunt and think it’s their responsibility to ship us a JB. We need less douches that pester the guys who have so generously given us Jailbreaks.
You ain’t payin’ for it, so there’s no way in hell you can bitch about it.
Get a life and the sooner you know it, 4.1 JB is out. I’m quite happy being jailbroken at 3.1.2.
If you’ve just bought your iPhone/iPad though, just try to be nice — and wait. In the meantime you might want to purchase some real apps and games to support the developers who are giving us great stuff.

@MrXpt: First of all, they don’t seem to be working for free: A LOT of donations are coming in (and if they told me the date I would personally contribute $50). Secondly, they already seem to have a pretty much working version. Not telling people their intentions is exactly what Apple does. This doesn’t make these guys any better than Steve.
Okay, I don’t have my own blog and seems like people are more worried about jail breaking their iPad more than anything so I figured more people would have access to reading this posting it here. Everybody has something negitive to say on just about everything apple does or product that they release. First off if you don’t like the iPad or don’t want one you shouldn’t talk trash about it just don’t get one. Okay I understand that it doesn’t multitask but there is a reason for that. If it supported multitasking then it would run a lot slower and everyone would be complaining about that. Now to the other complaints, why would someone buy an iPad instead of a net book, well why would you buy a net book instead of a laptop p.c.. The price isn’t much different, but the iPad seems just like an iPhone just bigger. I bought an iPad and I have to say that it is to a certain extent, but HELLO WORLD they are running the same OS. Now the net book isn’t really more affordable or portable than a smaller laptop but the iPad is. It can do some of the work and most of the Internet exploring that anyone would need instead of toting around a big computer. The iPad is all someone needs to surf the web, get their e-mail, play games, read books, get the news, and everything Apple said they would be. Now for everyone else’s complaints they are ridiculous, are you serious you are really complaining about the placement of the headphone jack. In case everybody didn’t know but the iPad rotates in any direction so you put it where you want it. That’s all thanks.
The ipad is what it is. For me, I would much rather have the HP Slate. It has two cameras, one still one on the back and a video camera on the screen side. You can use skype or video conferencing on it. You can also use any app you want and not just ones approved by apple. I just don’t think the ipad deserves the hype it has gotten when much better devices are going to be released this year.
I love my Ipad that I luv wat u wrote here.. Everything is right!!! People dat makes fun of Ipad are those that really want it n cant afford it..Cos Y would they waste their time complaining about the Ipad? R they that bored or is it” Want it n cant have it”. So… They just take the frustration by complaining about the Ipad.. N if they do end up with one, I bet u they will luv it as much as the Ipad owners does…..
