Blogger gets raided for buying stolen iPhone 4G or new iPhone

Written By Unknown on Monday, April 26, 2010 | 9:11 AM

new iPhoneThis photo above is the new iPhone 4G hardware prototype with iPhone 4.0 software. A blogger from Gizmodo took many picures of the new iPhone and also posted a video of it online on Gizmodo. The iPhone 4G was sold to Gizmodo by someone who stole it from an Apple engineer, but Gizmodo was not aware of it until after they brought the iPhone.

Apple sent this certain blogger a legal notice, and asked for him to return the iPhone 4G and he did. After that Apple started calling the local police and getting them involved in this. Last night, California's law enforcement computer team entered this blogger's home and seized his four computers and two servers. They had a search warrant, which Gizmodo claims was invalid. More on this as the story develops.

Yeah Steve Jobs is real asshole these days.

All the shit with Adobe and now this.

He's turned into the new Bill Gates.

At least Bill Gates spends money on fighting Malaria, Jobs is just a fucking prick.

The phone was found, not stolen...and the person who found it made multiple attempts to return it before Giz got a hold of it.

Sensationalist reporting FTL.

When you take something that doesn't belong to you and sell it for $5,000 what part of that is not called stealing?

April 27, 2010 at 5:36 AM

Gizmondo obviously knew it was hot, saying they "didn't know it was stolen" it just a get out clause for what they did...

They gave to phone back, I don't know what apple are trying to achieve by getting the police to raid the bloggers home.

So what a couple of photos of the phone where leaked onto the net... its not given us any more info than what we already know
