8 things to know about iPhone 4G
A lot about the iPhone 4G has been revealed this week, including rumors about a Verizon iPhone, and more iPhone 4.0 details. The photo of the iPhone 4G hardware prototype along with videos was first leaked by popular tech site Gizmodo.
1. Verizon iPhone possible this year
Okay, so there have been many rumors of a Verizon iPhone, but none have any proof at all to back up their claim besides anonymous “sources”. There were rumors of a Verizon iPhone in 2008 as well, but it didn’t happen. Verizon’s CEO wants to see iPhone on Verizon, so the ball is in Apple’s court right now.
2. iPhone 4.0
iPhone 4G will come with the new iPhone OS 4.0 software that will have support for multi-tasking, a social gaming center, and video chat for iPhone 4G only.
3. iPhone 4G has front facing camera
You can video chat with the iPhone 4G. This opens up a lot of new possibilities for the new iPhone. You can finally Skype and have a video call from a mobile device (if Skype adds support).
4. Improved display
According to Gizmodo, the new iPhone 4G has a 960 x 640 pixel screen. Gizmodo is not 100% sure about this, but they do know it has higher resolution because of the “Connect to iTunes” screen they saw.
5. Won’t support Adobe Flash Player
The new iPhone 4G won’t support Adobe Flash Player, nor will any of the other Apple devices including iPads, or iPod touches.
6.Will launch in June, during WWDC 2010
iPhone 4G will be launching in June this year during the annual World Wide Developers Conference 2010.
7. Has a micro-sim, rather than standard sim
The current iPhone has a standard sim card slot, but the new iPhone 4G has a smaller sim card slot that is smaller than
