How to: Pre-order iPad

Apple’s iPad will start shipping on April 3, but if you want to get it as soon as it comes out you can pre-order iPad online at Apple.com. Below are step-by-step instructions to pre-order an iPad.

1. Go to http://www.apple.com/ipad/pre-order/, read through the page and click on the Pre-order now button.

2. Choose the iPad you’d like: 16 GB iPad ($499, $629 w/3G), 32 GB iPad ($599, $729 w/3G), 64 GB iPad ($699, $829 w/3G). Click the Pre-order button.

3. Choose the accessories you would like for your iPad.

4. Click Add to Cart. A page with a summary of your order and total will show up. You can click the green Check Out Now button to pay for your order. If you don’t have an Apple.com ID, you can still check out as guest and create an Apple ID later.

If you ordered the iPad without 3G it should arrive on April 3, but if you ordered it with 3G it will arrive some time in late April.
